Thankful for Friends

So today my positive thing was my friends. Today at work one of my co-workers, who I've gotten close to, pulling me out into the hallway. They were having a lunch to celebrate her 15th anniversary with the company and she wanted me to come with her. It might not have been a big thing, but it meant a lot to me that she thought of me.

Then tonight I went out with one of my really good friends from my ward. I was originally her visiting teacher and we ended up getting really close. I'm no longer her visiting teacher, but we have even got closer since I was reassigned to someone else. We went to a frozen yogurt place and talked. Her daughter was with her so it was nice talking to her too. It was really nice to get out of the house. Her friendship means a lot to me.

So today I am thankful for friendship. Lately I have felt lonely...but I forgot about the friends that I do have...and I am thankful for them.

Quote of the Week

"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks

"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
