Good bye to Mesquite Tree

This morning we went out and decided to attack the tree again. As we started cutting off branches we saw that we didn't have much more to go, so we decided to just take it down.

This is what the tree looked like before we tried to take it out.
Kevin tried to use his ax to cut it down, but it was too dull, so we enlisted the help of our neighbor, Shane.
Shane brought over his car and they attempted to pull the trunk out. Didn't quite work.
So we had to dig around the trunk to cut the roots. Even then it still took awhile to finally get it out.
Success!!!! No more Mesquite tree!!!! Thanks Shane for all your help!

Quote of the Week

"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks

"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
