Called HOA this morning...explained we never received the first notice...was informed that if we get the same violation at least twice in six months that a second notice is sent...told them they were ridiculous...but they were nice enough to waive the fee THIS time...
Came home and attacked our Texas Sage...been putting this off for months because I love these bushes too much...but they have gotten HUGE...now they look much better...
Front yard still needs more attention...
Someone put me out of my misery already...

So, what exactly does your HOA do? Besides warning and ticketing?
Seems like u guys just need to keep up with ur weeds. Get some weed killer!
We sprayed weed killer like three weeks ago...the kind that's supposed to keep them away for a year...but the kind of week they are talking about actually grows IN your existing plants...now that we are aware we will have to go out every week to pull these darn suckers...
I don't know what else our HOA does...that's all they seem to do...
Yeah we got a warning letter from them about our "visible trash cans" while our backyard was getting done. They were right in front of our side fence and were only there for like two days! Some people just have too much time on their hands...
We got the same letter when we were having our backyard done too...grrr...
