Setting the facts straight

So here in Phoenix it's been on the news A LOT about a seminar being held at a hotel here in Phoenix for AIG. The news has blown this W-A-Y out of proportion! They are trying to make it sound like AIG is spending A TON of money on this business seminar. When in fact AIG only spent $20,000 in total. Sponsors donated over $343,000. Each person that went to the seminar were responsible for their own room/board, transportation, registration, etc. This was a pre-approved seminar that is needed for business purposes. IT WAS NOT A LUXURY TRIP. Our public relations department has sent out press releases about this, but apparently the news media is not interested in the truth. I'm getting so tired of hearing it all! Can we move on already?!

P.S. Our CEO was on Larry King Live last night and talked openly about what has been going on. Take a minute to look at this video:

Quote of the Week

"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks

"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
