The joys of technology
So I just finished sending a friend an email when I checked my sent mail folder and saw the lack of emails that I've sent lately. Why? Because of wonderful web sites such as Facebook and blogs I've gotten out of the habit of actually emailing someone. I guess I figure since I update my blog that people will know what's been going on in my life. And since I can see my friends on Facebook and their blogs I can see what goes on in each of their lives. So what does this technology thing boil down to...us actually not talking TO each other...but AT each other. What ever happened to two people talking face to face? or over the phone? What has the computer done to us? Anyway, till the next post...
Quote of the Week
"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks
"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
