Trying to be Positive

So...Kevin was let go yesterday from his job. He was told it was because of the slow economy. We have two reactions: 1) relieved that he won't have to deal with his boss and how unprofessional the company was, and 2) worried about our finances. But for the most part we are trying to be positive. This will allow Kevin to find something better. We feel it's a good thing. It's just the uncertainty of things that's hard...but we'll be okay. Who needs money? We're still alive. We still have each other. There's more to life than this...afterall, why are we really here...to learn and to grow so we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. Keeping an eternal perspective is what is helping us through. So we'll take one day at a time and we'll be okay.

Quote of the Week

"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks

"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
