Camping Fun

So last night Kevin and I were restless. We had gone over his friend's house but were called home because the wind opened the front door and one of the cats got out. By the time we got home the cat that got out came home so we had nothing to worry about. But it was 7pm and we really didn't want to be home. It was just a constant reminder of the situation we're in. We've put our thermostat all the way to 85 in the hopes that we can save money on our electric bills. So the house is a little warm. Kevin brought up the idea of putting up the tent and camping in our backyard. I had thought about that too, so we decided to do it (how redneck are we?!). We got out the tent. Brought out blankets. Brought out a lamp hooked up to an extention cord. We even brought Kevin's laptop and watched a movie out there. But the weather was nice. It was cooler outside than it was inside so it was a nice change. We enjoyed our night out back, but next time we do it we need to use our air mattress.

I haven't seen a snake around since last year. Hadn't even thought about them until you mentioned them. Thanks Sally!

Quote of the Week

"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks

"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
