Success!!!!!!!!!!

One of our friend's sons loves the movie Cars. He has all but one of the cars. When we were at Walmart to get supplies for the last quilt I did we saw materials with Cars on it. Well, I decided to make him a quilt so that he could have something to remember when he was older. So last weekend Kevin and I went to Walmart and got all the materials. I was hoping to get it done the same weekend. I did the tying and all that on Saturday but left all the sewing for Sunday. Well, when Sunday came and I went to sit down to sew I was having problems with the tension and with the bobbin. I was so frustrated. I tried to be patient. I worked patiently for about an hour and then decided to call it a day. So this week I was thinking about what the problem might be. While talking to a coworker about it I thought maybe it was because the thread I bought was really thick. So yesterday we went to Joann's Fabrics and I found some thinner thread. So when we got home from church today I sat down to attempt it again. But this time I had success!!! I was able to finish it!!!!! I guess I'll just learn by trial and error!! But I'm so excited to get it done. I hope Dallin likes it!!!!!

P.S. We just got back from dropping the blanket off. Dallin LOVED it! He instantly took off the comforter from his bed and replaced it with the Cars blanket! So success!!

Quote of the Week

"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks

"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
