Landscape Part II

So yesterday was a VERY busy day!! Kevin and I got up around 5:30 (on our own...with NO help from an alarm clock!!!). We relaxed for a little while. We got ready and headed to the masonry place to order our rock. We also needed to get some kind of brick for a walking path on the side of our house. We were there for like an hour and a half trying to get everything. But the rock will be delivered on Friday and we're having the Elders Quorum come over on Saturday to help spread it. From there we had to go home to unload all the flagstone we bought (over 600 lbs of it!). Our guys was going to be finishing up the grass so we wanted to make sure we were there to pay him his money and to also ask a couple of questions. When we go home we saw he was gone but he had left one of his workers who was busy working on the grass. We called him and he said he would be here in twenty minutes...well that turned into well over an hour. When he came we finished up things with him and left them to eat their lunch while we went to the local nursery to pick up some plants/flowers. We picked out some lantana (I love that stuff), some bouganvia (no clue on how to spell it), some Texas Sage, and a couple of other plants. We brought them home and decided we needed to get them in before it got even hotter than it already was. We got that done. We rested for a little while, then went to Lowe's to get some fertilizer. We were there a little while looking at various stuff (it's pretty sad when some of the people who work there say hi to us because they recognize us from previous trips). Then we came home and made dinner. Then we went shopping (it was 8:30pm by this time). When we got home we relaxed some more and then we sent to placing all the flagstone on the side of the house (it was 10pm by now). Then Kevin fertilized the grass. And then we were done for the day!! It was a very tiring day but a very productive day. I can't wait until we get the rock in! It will look so good!!!!!


Yes, our grass is two different colors...they were two different batches. Don't worry...they yellow part will turn green in a week or so!!!

This is the flagstone that we put in between our patio (which we extended) and the grass. Doesn't it look awesome?

Here's a picture of our flagstone walkway on the side of our house. We're planning on having a little rose garden as well as two fruit trees...so that's still a work in progress.
