Something new
So this last weekend we went to LA because Kevin had a seminar to go to. It gave me the perfect excuse to hang out with my mom. Saturday morning we went to a baby shower for a girl that I grew up with. Someone gave her a quilt for the baby. This last month I have started toying with the idea of starting to quilt. But when I saw that quilt I knew that I needed to try it. So for an early birthday present my mom bought me a sewing machine and I got some fabric, so I'm starting on my very first quilt. I'll take pictures as I make progress. I'm just so excited to be starting something new!!!
Quote of the Week
"We are often left to work out problems, without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit. That is part of the experience we must have in mortality. Fortunately, we are never out of the Savior's sight, and if our judgement leads us to actions beyond the limits of what is permissible and if we are listening to the still small voice, the Lord will restrain us by the promptings of His Spirit." - Elder Dallin H. Oaks
"We don't have to be perfect today. We don't have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very best we can." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

Oh cool! I would love to start quilting-I've always wanted to-ever since I saw the Relief Society gals in Buena Park get together weekly to do quilting. And I got a sewing machine for Christmas-we should quilt together! But you have more motivation than me. :-)
